BTA in fuge for 8 days?

Im going on a trip to Maui for 8 days this weekend (can't wait to snorkel Molokini) i have 2 RBTA in my mixed reef. They generally stay in one area but have been wandering lately. While this is fine when Im home as I can redirect them when they stray-I dont want my tank sitter to have to worry about anything but feeding the fish. So can I put the BTAs in my fuge for 8 days? The fuge has chaeto and miracle mud. Lighting is an IM LED fuge light that comes on for 6 hours opposite my normal light schedule. Ive put them in there overnight before, but Will they be ok in there for 8 days?

The BTAs should be fine for 8 days, and I think it's a great idea. Problems always arise when I'm on vacation so I always play it safe. I have a webcam set up so I can view the tank while I'm away.

I assume you're staying on Maui if you're heading to Molokini. While the experience of getting there is nice and the snorkeling spot has a lot of tame fish, the coral isn't the nicest. There's a spot south of Wailea that I really like, actually several spots. If you drive down Makena Road, you can stop along the road and just jump into the water. There is also a spot that now has a paved parking lot (I think it's called Ahihi Bay) that's got really nice views and tons of fish. The entrance into the water is a bit pebbly, which my kids didn't really like, but once you're in the water, you see fish and coral immediately.

Right on thanks for the tips! We are doing Molokini, but I will definitely check out those spots you recommended. I might pick up a cam tomorrow. Been meaning to do that anyways
