Got home tonight to millions of these black stringy balls floating in the tank! The Nem receded after expelling it but just normal like when the lights go off or when he poops. I heard stories that they release eggs (or sperm depending) but it is rare. What do you guys think?

Yea shes spawning alright. The 1 time it happened to me it basically trashed my water clarity and my fish were going nuts for about 2 days, i cleaned my socks and floss till it went away but its deffinitly a cool thing to experience

Now what's the odds that my other 3 nems will actually release sperm to fertilize the eggs? Is it a give/take response like does the release of the eggs trigger other nems to release sperm? I have 4 different colors of BTA

They might of already released the sperm. Youll kno when your tank turnes completely white

Last question! Has there been cases of BTAs successfully reproducing in aquarium via this method?

Haha not sure. Ive had tons of snail, hermit ,clownfish, bengai babys sucessfully spawn but the anemones i have no idea if you could. It 100% is and could be possible as time will tell but the trillions of eggs that litterally blew all over the place in my tank never made it i guess =/

Haha they did make it somewhere! Into your filtration to be cleaned! Now I'll have that problem

Tank is back to normal now slightly cloudy but nothing see so fae
