Hi i will have a 15 gallon cube nano tank with a bubble tip anemone and some corals (hard and soft) the dimensions are 16 by 16 by 14 . will this light be good to house a BTA? Thanks

Looks like it should work. I know others on here use that light. Just make sure your tank matures before adding an anemone or it won't make it even with the best lighting.

You would be better off with their 50w fixture or 2 of those one's that you linked. The thing to remember with those lights is that their par map is at 24 inches away and the spread is not fantastic so you will need more to cover areas of your tank if you use the mounting arm (cut the spread in half and double the par values they give you) and that will tell you the par and spread at the surface of the water).

how long until my tank matures? should i add it before or after i add fish? I have a clownfish, so i should probably add it before the fish right? Thanks

No. I wouldn't get an anemone for about 9 months to a year after your tank is up and running. They don't do well in young tanks. I lost 2 of them trying too early.

Fyi, The specs describe par at 24 inches in air, not saltwater
Spectrum looks good

Get passed your ugly stage and have coraline all over with stable parameters. Then you're ready for an anemone.

That light you selected won't do SPS. I would wait a couple weeks and try some easy ones. Just Google beginner corals. You can add a few clean up crew members when you add your fish

Edit: maybe that light can do SPS I don't own it. If you try keep them high up.

Wait, i add corals right away though, right?
No sir!!
as soon as im ready to add fish i can add corals too?
Not at all

It can do sps (in the upper half center of the tank where it should be above 200 for par). The edges would be a no go for sps.
