BTA Loosing Arms

Hi All

I see my BTA arm flying in tank
I observer this in a week and just see 3rd one today in a week

I also notice there are new arms coming on the edges of BTA base

Is it normal behavior ?
My BTA is in my tank almost 1,5 month and lost bubbles maybe because I did only 2 times direct feed however I have very high flow and intense light that would cause this also

I need to understand if it will going to die so I can take it out. I have high end SPS frags don’t want to loose them

Here you can see small piece near conch

After I few sec it moved another place

Is it in very high flow ?

Ive had this happen bwfore in high flow and also for some reason my clowns sometime would bite them off. Dont ask...

All tank is high flow and yes his home is too :/ maybe I take out? It means it will die?

It won’t die right now, over time it will.
Is I moving around the tank ?

Not moving just staying where it was
But to be honest I always afraid to add anemone even this one stay when it splits other parts can move and burn my SPS

How to take out this anemone from its place
When lights on he is pumped and foot seems easy to access should I touch foot with ice?

Yes but use a zip block bag and put the ice at the foot

Moving then to other place if current is making him disturb

Loosing arms sing of slow die process?

Occassionally mine drop arms or the clowns nip them as stated. But ive never had one die that was doing that. They seem to get twisted in the flow and then break off...i wouldnt worry unless the nem starts to decline...he looks healthy in that pic.

Agree with reef lover, I've had the same experience. Tentacles will grow back. Nems will move on their own if not happy.

Yes, anemones are weird animals and will do erratic things. Your anemone looks healthy and granted your water parameters are in check. Wouldn't worry too much about it.

After moving power head a little down it stop loosing arms and new ones coming I started direct feed small pieces of shrimp

Problem is solved and cause was direct flow
