BTA on clam

I have no real experience with BTAs and clams, but I would move the BTA.

One of my ***** rbta nems parked right next to my maxima for quite awhile and the maxima didn’t seem to care. It was open the entire time with nem tentacles on top of it.

:rolleyes:Nems.

It will sting it I think.

I never had a clam get stung by a coral or BTA. Doesn't mean it couldn't happen I guess but I never heard of it. They don't usually seem to be bothered by "stinging" inverts. I can't speak for some of the nastier stinging anemones but BTAs don't pack much of a punch.

I think it depends on the clam, there mantels are tough but the nem has the ability to disturb it which in turn the clam can stay closed which will limit the amount of light it receives. Wait it out to see if causes the clam any issues or maybe it will just release in due time.

Yep. $40 blue maxima would be fine but $300 blue squamosa would get wiped out overnight. LOL
