99% sure this is a BTA. Is it okay that it seems to have planted it's foot in the sand? Never seen one do it before which is why I ask. It wandered the big rock it's next to for a few days but kept coming back to this spot so i set the little rock there and it hasn't moved in over a day now.

Not sure what info would be helpful...
Tank is 30 gallons with 10 gallon sump. I have 9 rfa and 3 bta including this one. Pair of clowns that aren't interested in the nems and a royal gramma. There's 5 sexy shrimps as well as a mostly snail cuc with 3 hermits. Light is ai prime 16hd on pirates schedule.

I am pretty darn sure that isn’t a bubble tip anemone. Heres mine for reference

There are some anemone that plant their foot in the sand. I just can’t remember the name of it right now.

It’s possible I’m wrong on that, but I’m 99% sure it’s something else. The nematocysts and foot don’t like like any BTA I’ve seen, but I’m no expert

I totally agree it looks a little different. But it has the white lines around the mouth that's associated with bta (from what I understand). I can't get a picture of it because of the way it's decided to sit right now. But my rainbow bta next to it has the same thing.

Well now I'm beginning to wonder if it's a bta lol. I do think think it's an lta because it's tentacles are pretty short and thin.

Any nem pros in the house?

It is a bubble tip anemone, just a different morph from the regular roses and rainbows you see in most tanks. I would just leave it be as it looks healthy.

You see those orange tipped green btas around from time to time

that brings me to 90% sure it's a BTA lol tentacle length can vary, I have a rainbow that has longer tentacles and a green that has WAY more tentacles but they're on the short side. Regardless, it looks good and happy!

It being happy is all that matters in the end. Whatever it is, I love it. The orange tips are so pretty
