Here's my poor little BTA after getting nuked by a condylactis that freaked out when I added H2O2 to my tank to combat GHA.
It barely survived. It shriveled up to the size of a shirt button for a week or two, and when it finally opened back up, most of its tentacles were gone. This pic is of it looking its best during that time.
It languished like this for months, with little to no growth apparent. It occurred to me one day that with no tentacles, it was probably unable to absorb much light. Therefore it was likely starving. At that point I decided to try an experiment – I would feed it every day.
I've been doing this now for maybe 2 months, feeding it the same frozen sea clams that I feed my fish. Within that time frame, it has restored to this.
In light of this, I've begun feeding all my nems much more frequently, not necessarily daily like this BTA but at the very least every other day. So far they all seem to be happy.
