I have 3 BTA's, two green with purple tip and one sherman, all got it within a month, all around 3" in size . All are in the same rock within 3" spacing
I see the green bta mostly retracted, opens up occasionally to i would say 70% size. the sherman retracts few times but other time stay open. Not sure what I should look for, as far as the water parameters all are in range, with Nitrate around 4 to 5ppm and Phos around 0.05 to 0.08, Salt currently is 33 to 34 as per Neptune probe. (I am planning to increase it to 35)

I only feed them 2 or 3 times so far in this month with mysis and reef roid.

My two clowns always rub them and Its small for the clown. I wonder if that could be the reason.

Anything else i can check?

I don't recommend relying on the probe to check salinity - use a refractometer. Are you feeding them mysis? What light are you using?

Yes i am feeding mysis + Reef roid mixed. In fact i did feed yesterday.
I use Kessil 360WE and the bta's are right under. light runs at around 63% max both white and blue. Should i increase blue 10% more?

I will check the salinity when i get home tonight.

They may be getting too much light. Mine close up a little right after feeding because they dont need the extra light. I have mine right under kessil a80s and that is plenty of light for them. I would imagine yours are getting much much more than mine.
