So this happend? If I'm correct
I use similar as a jump GuardAn egg crate "cage" would have be be larger enough that the nem can't touch the powerhead through it. BTA's could walk right through a 1/2" x 1/2" egg crate if it wanted to.
A guard closer to the pump that actually keeps the tenticals and body Clear and Safe would be my recommendation.
This material works very well for a variety of pump designs.![]()
Did jaebo not go into night mode, or have you not set it up (reduced/minimum setting for wavemaker)When I went to bed the jebao was at 30%, and it was sucked into the roughly 300 gph pump I have aimed at the overflow, on the opposite side of the tank. The nem was in front left corner, and the suspect powerhead is in the back right corner. The Jebao was directly above the nem on the right side of the tank, centered on that wall.

I was asleep, wish I would have set a camera up but that is the best conclusion I could have come up with. It had to travel at least 40" to the other side of the tank and then another 12" so probably became detached and then floated into the pump, just surprised because the jebao is about 3x as powerful.![]()
Or could have floated like this?
I've only got the piece of equipment on the right, I run it at 80% on the sine wave setting, knob tilted more towards the slow side. So it shuts off for a second, pushes water hard, then shuts off and repeats. I didn't know there was a night setting..?Did jaebo not go into night mode, or have you not set it up (reduced/minimum setting for wavemaker)
I have 2 that interact with each other, night mode you need to hold to set?
I've watched BTA's cross the 36" span of my front glass in 20 minutes. They can GET IT if they choose to. They can also Fully inflate and release their foot and Float around on the currents which usually gets them torn up in the overflow or any unprotected pump.I was asleep, wish I would have set a camera up but that is the best conclusion I could have come up with. Also just want to mention your build thread was referenced in this post as a guide for reference. You're everywhere! LolI've watched BTA's cross the 36" span of my front glass in 20 minutes.
