Bta split

I had to dismantle my 20 aio a few days ago to remove all the fish because of an ich outbreak. Which ment removing all the rock (took this opportunity to stir the sand and do a big water change) Well while the rock was in buckets ( about 35 mins) my nem moved to the bottom of the rock which caused me to change my aqua scape to keep the nem from being crushed. About 2 hours after everything being back in aquarium the nem split. I understand that they will split when stressed is this detrimental to the nems health? Also the split moved to top dead center of tank about 380 par and indirect flow the mother was about 4" diameter and stayed at about 190-225 par area with much the same flow. Is it normal for the nem to want more light after a split?
