Any chances of reviving the head or should i consider this one a goner?

As you can see below, the right side of the head is covered with a decaying mass and the left side is still squeezed polyps.

It was fine for a very long time and has grown quite well at my place, but at one point i noticed a missing corner and after that it's been closed up and decaying on one side.

Is that really necessary? The two are already fragged off and actually are not conmected from the bottom.

Also, before getting stung, the dying frag started growing a new head below on the foot. It’s still just a small piece of a skeleton, but i hope it survives

I would suggest moving it, and see.

You mean moving from where it got stung? I did that yes, the new place is better for them and you can see it from the way the second head is behaving, but the stung one has been like this for a few days, hasn’t opened once. Anything on my side i could do to make it feel better or revive?

Since you moved the coral there's nothing more you can do at this point. Corals can come back with very little polyps though. It's a waiting game for now without intervention.

one more thing though - can you somehow id it was a sting?

i'm not 100% sure as one could never be in these cases, but the reason i'm asking is 'cause my 5 head frogspawn bailed out 4 heads and this more or less coincides with the beginning of the hammer problem.

Reason why i think it is a sting is that at first it was just a corner, few polyps of the hammer, then the entire head. In the case of the frogspawn, it didn't show any symptoms, but started bailing out heads one by one over a period of 2 weeks. i salvaged it by moving to the tank i got it from 2 months ago. The candy cane also struggled in my tank, was completely revived and thriving by now.

The chances are rather high that it's my tank and water, just thinking that the hammer been doing great and growing thus far. it also was neighbouring the BTA for some time.

Parameters are more or less okay, just the elevated PO and NO3:

PO = 0,2
NO3 = 12-13
Mag = 1400
Ca = 420
NO2 = 0,025 (hard to detect with the salifert kit)
Ph = 8,2
salinity = 1,026
Alk = 9,8dKH / 3,5meq/l
Ammonia = <0,02 (undetectable)
