So I have had my tank for around two years now. I started with one rose BTA as one of my first additions and loved it! It stayed in a good spot in the tank split a few times and made a nice colony. I bought a red BTA because they were doing so well. Fast forward a year and having a baby the tank got neglected and I have a BTA takeover as well as Kenya trees. The BTAs started moving around killing zoa's, hammers, and chasing my clam off. They are climbing on my clam and I've had enough! Any advice on how to get rid of them? So far my only idea is to use another tank and pull the rocks out one by one and put the rocks far away from the light so they move off the rock and toward the lights.

Send them to me !! If they are starting to become a nuisance you should starting removing them all

Oh my goodness! I have a problem with mine multiplying to, but not to that extreme! I tried to get one to release but it had a strong foothold. It lost a few tentacles when I tried to get it to let go, but it just bubbled up and grew bigger

I tried to get the one off the clam and just made it mad. I noticed when it got mad the other BTA's started to get weird and green tipped so I stopped. There are a few that are easy to remove. I wouldn't mind seeing if my LFS would trade for store credit if I can manage to get them out and transportable.

Ive had similar issues in my 180 mixed reef when my BTA split and start to take over the entire left side of the reef. i tried to keep it in that corner but it still slowly creeped towards the middle. Looked awesome tho!
