What's the problem? Neither are having an issue. The leather would Show very clearly if the BTA was aggressing and it isn't. They are both perfectly happy.

Do you run carbon in the system?
If you don't want the possibility of your tank crashing. IMO I would keep the beautiful Hawaiian punch bta.
What are you even talking about? What is the crash mechanism here, in your opinion?

So the issue is the bta is on top of my toadstool stalk cause it to bed over flat yes it’s still very happy just unsure about how far it has my toadstool bent

Yes whatever comes in the hob filters if I had to guess the amount probably around 1/4 cup or less

I would do something if the leather starts to retract but as some of the other posters said, there really seems go be no issue atm.

Leathers are extremely resilient. You could turn that thing upside down in a cave and it will bend itself 180° to find the light.

First sign of stress from the leather will be the polyps not extending. That's not happening. Another possible issue would be a large amount of black dots on the side of the leather where the BTA is. I see a few, Those are likely tester stings and are not causing an issue.

When leathers are stressed they do release terpenes into the water. Carbon will soak those up. Carbon cartridges probably aren't enough generally if you have more than 15 or 20 gallons total water volume. You can get pre-made carbon bags or bicarbon and a filter bag and make them yourself. This has a lot of benefits.

So maybe it’ll bend back up the glass and have an s shape lol

Agreed I do see those marks good to know yeah it’s still fully open and happy

Thanks for all this info! I’ll do a little research and look into those carbon bags and throw them in my hob filter
