BTA VS Xenia

Well I come home to find my bta on the move....will this exterminate my xenia? One can only hope

Well from experience, the xenia is toast. I have been trying to recover my silver pulsing xenia after my BTA got snooty with it and it is not going well.

I love xenia too…….. but it just grows to fast for my 29 gallon

Ok so this is going to sound horrible and I am not sure what it says about my reefing skills but it does not spread in my tank!! The chunk I have grew to a nice size but never when pandemic like everyone says...then the nem hit and it just keeps withering away.

I had a 20 gallon full of Xenia and about 5 BTAs. They just sat in the middle of the Xenia and didn't kill any at all. When I say 20 gallon full I mean top to bottom full of Xenia.

Maybe I should get a BTA. Xenia growing too quickly and can't bring myself to pull out and kill it. Anyone have any other ideas to keep it in check?

In my 30 it was the same way, when i tansfered to the 90 it turned to crack, maybe because the powerheads blast it

I had pulsing xenia smoother three bubble tips. Only was able to save one of them. I too thought the BTA would nuke the pulsing xenia. I was wrong. Lost two really pretty nems because of it.

Thats so strange! Why would the nem just move out? Mines already passed through and appear to be moving up to get next to the upper one. They lived together in the old tank. Maybe nems have mates and we never knew lol

Ya know, I was wondering that after mine split! The little clone has never gone more than 5 inches away from the mother!
