So my bta looks amazing during peak hours and like it's dying during low light hours.

Not sure if you are asking a question, but I have one that is about the size of a basketball during the day, and the size of a baseball at night. The nem has split multiple times and I've had it for over ten years. I'd say this is completely normal.

Also I should add, I see in your pic that the foot is sort of up-underneath the rock. Mine do this all the time, they very much prefer it. When they get upset and retract, it pulls the whole "body" into a cave for protection. A simple yet effective product of evolution I suspect. In other words, I think all is well with your nem.
