Been 2 weeks and he is still in this spot. Have you guys experienced this? How long did it take yours to move into a better spot that’s in the light?

2 weeks is a good bit of time. Is it still sticky to touch? It taking food?
Could you rotate the rock it’s on so that it’s in the light without rearranging everything? I wouldn’t move the nem from the spot on rock it’s stuck to tho.

First, the nem looks plump and healthy from what I can see. That’s a plus!

I would recommend leaving lights and flow and the nem alone.

It WILL move to where it wants to be.

Don’t know where you got it from, but many factors come into play when you get a nem.

What were the major parameters in the prior tank. What kind of lighting and how intense was it. Was it in hi flow or low flow.

No matter what, it was in a different place and environment.

Again, it looks healthy and I would leave everything “as is” for at least a few more weeks.

I haven’t touched it since I put it in there. I can’t rotate the rock, it’s foot is on the giant arch rock in the middle. And Iv always heard to not directly feed BTAs if you don’t have to so I haven’t been. My clownfish probably bring food in there to it so it’s fine as far as that goes.

I have a condylactus ( spelling ? ) anemone he varies in size.. biggest ive seen him is about the size of my hand spread out so pretty good size.

And he is always in the shade.. i move him in the ligjt. He goes to the shade.. move him again and again and i finally gave up.. he just lile being in the shade under caves or archways on my rocks. I feed him a cube of mysis every week maybe 2 weeks if i remember lol and he seems to do fine. I wish he would come out but oh well.

Ive had him for like 3 1.2 months now ?

Well I’m not sure about all Nems but I know that BTAs need light. That’s why his spot is so bizarre

Anemones will move where they like. If he is unhappy in his current place, he will leave. Healthy nems don’t self sabotage haha. He looks great, nice and plump and it’s good that your clown is feeding it. I say leave it be. He’s a happy nem :)
