So I have a dilemma. I have this rock in my current tank that has 3 BTAs on it. The issue is the rock is also covered in colonial hydroids. I want to move the rock with them on it into my new tank but I don't want the hydroids to go in the new tank.

1) is there anyway to treat the hydroids on the rock?

2) what would be the best way to remove the anemones on the rock if I had to? They have stayed on this rock for almost a year without moving so I would prefer not to have to remove them

Any suggestions?

You could either epoxy over the hydroids and hope u get them all...or point a powerhead at the rock till the nems move on their own.

Power head in direction of bta will make them move. I wouldn't risk moving the rock to new setup unless killed/dried the rock completely.
