Bubba's SPS Journey

Ha ha, I took a blue pic but it turned out a little blurry so I didn’t post it. I will try again.
You better! haha

I started to do water changes more often lately. I change about 10% every two weeks.
Any particular reason?? Or just feel like it's a good idea?

2-3 months ago when I had that issue going I felt the only thing I could do to get back on track was do water changes to kind of reset things. At first I was changing 20% twice a week but I have slowed down a little as things have gone back to normal.

Nice :) I'm trying to get back into the swing of ~10% weekly as I've been really slack with the tank the last month or two

I don’t dose anything right now. I was dosing Fuel for a while but I ran out and just haven’t bought anymore.

I don’t test anything else

Interesting, gives me hope for my sps with pale coloration lol. I'm going to guess you have a somewhat heavy bio load?
what does your feeding routine look like? I read you use to feed mysis cubes?

If things were pale I would feed more, maybe even target feed some coral. When I see pale corals it makes me think they don't get fed enough paired with low no3 and po4.

I don't think my fish bio load is too high, I am just very generous when it comes it food. I just added another tank to my other 3, which brings me to about 400 gallons of water with roughly 30 fish.

I use my own homemade food (tilapia, shrimp and scallops) once a day and pellets two other times a day.

Well, where's the blue shot?!? What kind of monster talks up the blue shot and doesn't post it :p
Here you go Dom. This was not taken with an orange filter which exaggerates the color. The color here is true to life under all blue leds.

I sold a kidney to get my trachy, ... can I survive on no kidneys?
Me want! :)
lol. Your trachy was worth selling a kindney for.

Do you still have your Confetti? I always thought yours was the nicest one I've seen outside of the Vivid tanks. Don't get me wrong, they all look great, but you were really pulling all the colors.
Thanks! I still do have the confetti and it’s starting to grow at a pretty good rate. I wish I could say I got all the colors but I’ve never really been able to get the green besides the little bit that grows around edge of the base. I actually haven’t seen another colony get it besides their main colony in their display. Vivid has even shared the colonies in their backup tanks and none of them have it either. I am still hopeful one day that I can pull it out.
