Bubba's SPS Journey

how are you
I saw that you have several dan frags (tck), and I plan to travel to NY, how about dan corals?
Is it worth a pack of acros?

On the other hand, are you in Miami or Orlando? I travel to Miami I think in a month and I would like a pack

Dropping some serious $$$! Pictures or it never happened! Don’t be selfish I want to see the unnamed coral!
I don't have it yet. I didn't want to take it as a fresh cut, so I go back in a week to pick it up.

I got this from a buddy as Christmas Mirabilis. For some reason mine gets a little bit of orange on the tips and the growth tips are blue. Sometimes I wonder if it truly is. Have you seen one look like this?

There seems to be a lot of very similar pieces with different names. Christmas, Fuego, Dippin' Dots, Red Planet and I'm sure a few others I'm missing. Doesn't look like the classic Mirabilis. More like the UC dipping dot IMO.

Not sure exactly what is , But I am sure that it is beautiful, healthy, and has classic shape and structure.
I think the solid red, blue, yellow [and maybe even green] color pieces are the ones that can catch your eye from across the room. A bright Red Planet or Christmas Mirabilis can easily be the center piece for a reef tank.

So true.......if a coral doesn't stand out 4 or more feet from the tank it's not a true eye catcher. All those corals with minutia type colors that can only be seen with macro pictures are overrated.

Maybe I'm just obsessed but that's pretty close to how I view my corals, lol. Most of my corals are in frag tanks in a garage. When I want to see them, I grab a viewer box and look at them top down and up close.

Looks a lot like Pink Floyd no?
Edit: looks great like everything else
There's like 20 corals that look like pink floyd. Here's three off the top of my head.

- Pikachu
- diabolic pacman
- wwc what the heck

Topic isn't fresh in my mind it seems, I used to remember aot more than three!

let me know when you go get it. I have to pick my stuff up soon. I'd like to see it
Its my birthday this weekend and we are planning a cookout. We are waiting on a family member to see if they have Saturday off. If they do I'll pick it up Sunday and if not, I'll grab it Saturday.

I think a lot of yellow ones look similar when they are small. I feel the difference comes out when they are larger. I have the Pink Floyd but always struggled with the yellow.

By the way... That Christmas maribellus looks very similar to my "RRU Strawberry Fields". Almost an exact match lol.

What do you think, similar or not?

And sorry buddy, not trying to spam your thread with pics [emoji23]
