Bubba's SPS Journey

My tank on the left. The lights were turning off so it's pretty blue but you get the idea.

Did you drill your frag tanks? Are they tied into the main system or on their own?

INSANE! what anenome is that?
Honestly I am not sure. Rainbow nem? I don't trust anemone names anymore unless you buy from someone credible like Ty. A little further down on that pic that you can't see is a giant green and pink tip anemone that I originally bought as a "Day glow anemone" that was actually just a bleached out standard green and pink tip anemone. Once it gained it's colored back I was pretty upset to find out what it really was, the price of it made it even worst.

I drilled them both and all tanks are plumbed together.

I really think I want to go this route for a frag tank and plumb it to my display. I've never drilled a tank before though. ;Nailbiting
Because..like you, I can see that I'm going to want more sps than my display can handle so..why not plumb in a frag tank for grow out/frag holding etc? :D

They seem a bit tricky to pin down for purchase though. Go figure.

Once you drill your first hole you will be amazed at how easy it is. Keep the drill bit wet while drilling and don’t apply pressure and in about 5 minutes you will have a hole. It’s so easy I don’t even use a template anymore and just hold the drill at an angle to get the hole started.

I have a canopy with t5's hanging above my tank so it's near impossible to get a full tank top down pic. Here is an actinic pic I took this morning before all lights came on that shows the left side of my tank.

My retinas... They burn! Wow!

I tried to take a top down "daylight" pic of the right side of my tank but the bulbs reflect so bad you can't see anything. So here is another actinic of the right side of my tank.

This is that "daylight" pic just to show you the issue I had.

Sweet lawd that SC OP is AMAZING!!!

So much gorgeous colour man!! :D
I love the SC OP! You can see it peeking through the crack of the reflection in the daylight pic and it looks great also. It's one everybody needs.

That Pink Lemonade is awesome! I may have to hit you up for a frag of that in the future. It seems to elude my LFS.. always a classic piece.

ehhhhhh who likes day light pics anyways..... truly epic!

Ah that’s right they’re within a couple inches of the surface right?
When I took that pic I was about a foot off the water. I can probably get a top down with a group of some of the corals but I don't think all of them if I have to put the camera right at the water level with the porthole.
