So big surprise I have some valonia in my grow out tank. I know the solution would typically be a couple emerald crabs, unfortunatley they're a little to shy to want to hang out on the frags that sit on the eggcrate with no shelter around them. Any other suggestions for combatting this?
Water params are good to go (0's Nitrate Phosphate, in range elsewhere) so that's not really a solution I'm looking to work with :squigglemouth:

Thanks all.

I'm battling the same problem, haven't found a fish that will eat it. I've tried 2 foxface, yellow & kole eye tangs w/o luck. I've gone the manual removal route, even with a filter sock in the sump with siphon tube that works well. Haven't had luck with Emeralds but I just put a bunch more in and i'll give them a couple months and see if they munch on it.

No luck with emeralds for me either...my elephant snail will eat it if it is really hungry and it's in it's path on a given night.

I need to yank the scopas out of the tank as he's starting to outgrow it, I'll try a tiny sailfin next and see what he does
