Hey everyone,

Looking for best suggestions to get rid of bubble alage?

Thanks,
Dan

Total removal? Maybe somebody else has an easy solution. The hard way works. About 15 years ago I had a terrible infestation. I went through every rock took it to the sink and pulled every bubble off. I did it in the sink because broken bubbles release more small bubbles. After I picked off ever possible bubble I point scalded the worse areas with hot water then rinsed each rock before returning to the tank. I then repeated every week or so until I stopped finding much. I then kept a sweezer next to the tank and forever more pulled a bubble every time I saw one. I had an incredible infestation but it has now been years since I have seen one in my system. Hundreds of pounds of rock. I learned a lesson about QT.

I just finished up successful removal. I used tweezers and removed one by one in the tank. I also got 2 emerald crabs. At first I was concerned about popping bubbles, but I noticed that the emerald crabs pop the bubbles when they eat them. So I continued to do a total removal with tweezers, and yeah, a bunch popped, even when I was careful. But now that I got the mega infestation cleared, the crabs keeps anything else that may crop up at bay.
