I'll end up doing the kalk if this doesn't work... Is just rather a natural animal take care of the problem.. We'll see

How do you make the kalk?Ingredients?
I May try it for those hard to reach places

never done it before, i was researching it a little bit yesterday..it looks pretty easy to mix up...im sure's a good formula on R2R here somewhere

I just add a little tank water and mix in some Kalk powder until it's thick like dough. With all the flow off I put a big glob on my finger, very easy like lower into the tank and gently spread it over the cluster. Let sit for at least 5-10min before turning flow back on. Otherwise it won't set, so to speak.
Turn flow back on. You can expect some fly away but the majority will stay put. I've left treatments sit like this for up to a week, no issues at all. I actually just finished removing a small cluster today [emoji2]

I recently got 2 orders of 20 emeralds from LA, so 40 emerald crabs later and I haven't seen them do much against the bubble algae. I'm thinking that I'm going to get another sailfin tang because I had one for a long time and never had bubble algae other than in my overflows. I re-homed the tang, and bubble algae exploded.

I don't have any bubble algae but I have always had at least one Emerald in my reef....never had any issues with them bothering anything.

ya 2 emeralds been in my tank now, they've been picking at rocks and not disturbing corals so im happy with that...but nothing with the bubble algae. So the kalk mix is my next step this weekend
