bubble algae eaters which are not an emerald crab?

I am starting to get a little bubble algae. I have used emerald crabs in the past and they get the job done well but once the algae is gone they go kind of rouge eating zoas and other stuff.. idk just never had good luck with them... I do have a sailfin and foxface (one dot) and a coral beauty.... they don't seem interested in the bubble... Is it time to get a blenny?? Just wondering what other cool critters will eat that stuff. Thanks.

Yeah... I was looking at that.. I was getting the itch to add some livestock though so I thought I would try that route first... good suggestion though, thanks!

I was about to say foxface, they’ve always taken care of it for me and my friends. Maybe try a different species of rabbitfish?

Your tongs. Bubble algae isn't a major pest until you have tons of it- just manually remove it and you'll be fine.

Don't use Vibrant. It will knock out a lot of beneficial algae as well, setting back your tank's biodiversity, so should only be a last-ditch effort for tank-ending-level infestations.

Thanks for your suggestions! Yeah maybe the manual preening of it is the way to go... I have seen it on two rocks now.. it's not bad at all.. just don't want to let it grow without any kind of deforestation (??) in place..

Yeah I saw inappropriate reefer on youtube put a rabbit fish in to rid his tank of it.. maybe mine hasn't seen it yet lol... I am being very wary of using chemicals to combat this.. I want a healthy ecosystem..

You might try light or no foxface feeding for a few days to get him interested. My file fish didn't touch the aptasia until he was hungry.
