With only a 25g tank all the fish options are out. Ive tried emerald crabs and they instantly ate my corals so I took them out. I try to manually remove them but im not getting ahead of it.
What are the other options to get this pest out?

I heard of someone using a fox face and it cleared the lot but let’s see if someone chimes in it’s more the size of your tank and whats in there now. Sorry never read all the post no fish

emerald crab is what I used in my 25g. Very hit or miss. I ended up with like 4 crabs before one of them ate it. Honestly, if the infestation is really bad, I would probably do a low dose of vibrante/algaefix

Reef cleaners emerald crabs are guaranteed to eat bubble algae. When I had a 22 gallon I would only get 1-2. After the bubble algae was gone I made sure to keep them well fed everyday.

Shhhh be careful with that LOL ….
Emerald crabs? … never trust a crab, yes I’ve owned emerald crabs and I repeat; never trust a crab…allegedly there are similar types but I’ve witnessed them going off reservation…YMMV

Actually TBH algaefix (AKA “Vibrant”) did work for me a couple of times, but I wouldn’t recommend it as I’ve seen bubble algae get out of hand then disappear all by itself….
..that said, If I look for it I can find a few examples of bubble algae in every tank I have and I don’t worry about …it has gotten out of hand on occasion. If its that bad, maybe lower your water level and/or pull out the rock and hit it with a hypodermic full of st8 H2O2, the store grade stuff, not the hydroponic strength stuff (and pull your shrimp)

Yea im NEVER doing crabs again. Even hermit crabs turn at some point and kill things. Ill stick with snails and manual removal I guess. I dont want to place a chemical into the tank if I dont have to.

I was looking at doing a aquascape redo and clean out the tank at the same time while the rocks are pulled and in another bin. I think that will be the best way forward.

My go to are emerald crabs. Cleared my tank decades ago. Since I’ve always had them so fun watching them constantly eating algae off the rocks. I have two huge ones for a long time now.
