I have one zoa frag with 13 small heads that had a few bubble algae bubbles. I scraped them off and rinsed....it came back, so I repeated. Now instead of 3-4 bubbles there are over a dozen.

Should I just toss the $15 frag to save me a future headache?

IMO, YES!!! If it has not spread anywhere else yet, it’s most likely going to. Get an emerald crab for your tank for a bit after for good measure :D

And...frag has been removed and discarded. Looks like I will just have to go to the LFS and get a replacement :)

Bubble algae sucks for sure. But you could of at least tried to removed the polyps from the plug before killing them.....
There were bubbles all around the polyps. Being it was the first frag I purchased...I would have liked to, but with no tools at my office, no gloves, or eye protection....and having never done it before....I made the call to toss it.
