I have a Goni frag in QT that has bubble algae growing on the skeleton where the frag was cut. I have scrubbed it off with a toothbrush and it keeps growing back. Should I try some peroxide on it? I’m concerned that the Goni might not react too well. If so, do you use straight peroxide or dilute it? I have a scopas tang and fox face in my DT so am not really sure if I should even worry but it seems foolish to take a frag with pest algae on it from QT and put it into my DT...

Get the algae off and then take a Q-tip and dip it in the hydrogen peroxide and dab it everywhere the algae was. Let it sit out of the water for a couple of minutes. Then you can rinse it in water or just put it back in the tank.

BTW, I've dipped rocks covered with zoas in pure 3% hydrogen peroxide (from the store) for as long as 5 minutes. The zoas get really **** but they survive and open up after a day or two. But I'd be MUCH MORE CAREFUL with other corals that may not do as well.
