Hey!
So, A few months back I had an aiptasia growing in my GSP, after some attempts to kill it I ended up gluing it to the frag plug and it never came back but I'm now noticing some green bubbles on the exact same spot that the aiptasia was. The bubbles feel hard to the touch and looks like the photos I have been seeing of bubble algae.

Could this be just the glue or am I looking at the beginning of an outbreak?

It's also important to mention that this week I had a cyano outbreak and some of it got on top of my GSP and that for the last month my GSP hasn't been extending fully (as you can see on the pics). Thanks!

Pulsing Xenia

Little ball of Chaeto in the sump

Pull the frag out and gently remove the bubbles. Rinse in a separate container of sw just in case.

The thing is that the GSP spent the last 4 days completely closed up and just today it finally reopened.
Can I wait a bit longer so I don't induce too much stress on the GSP or should I do it ASAP?

Just pull it out and remove and rinse in a cup of tank water. It will be a 10 second job

I wish I would have read the new messages before.
I just performed the procedure like 1 hour ago and putted the coral back in, hopefully nothing will spread. Here are some photos of the bubbles, they had liquid inside, is that normal for bubble algae?

Well there all kinds of natural and chemical ways to battle this. But if you can avoid it..

anyhow what is done is done and I wouldn’t worry to much. Just keep watching and don’t be passive when you do see it.
