I have a star Astrea snail that is covered in red bubble algae (and a little bit of green hair algae). I keep removing the snail from the tank and removing the red bubbles but they. Keep. Growing. Back. As far as I can tell, the red bubble algae hasn’t spread anywhere else in my tank and the rest of my tank is doing pretty well but I’ve had to deal with red bubble algae in old tanks and I know how quickly it can get out of hand. Does anyone know what I can/should do to minimize the risk of the algae spreading and to get the red bubbles off of my snail?

I have used peroxide on snails before. You need to be careful doing this. And I try to make them go into their shell first. Then I hold them with their shell entrance facing up and use a dropper to put peroxide on the shell and scrub it with a tooth brush.
