Bubble Algae

Is there anything other than a emerald crab that will eat bubble algae? I have a clamp in my tank and don't want to chance a emerald crab eating it.

Is it like a tight clump of bubble algae that you can't remove without possibly popping one? If so, just get some epoxy and completely smother it.

I have removed it by hand several times, it comes in clumps, separate all over the place. Years ago I had a emerald crab and picked up a nice clam. The next morning half of my clam was gone and the clam was eating it.

Manual removal using siphon during a water change. DO NOT remove by hand, you risk breaking them thus spreading them.
Turn off all flow and cover clumps with a thick Kalk paste. Allow paste to sit for at least 30min. Siphon out.
This is one algae that can survive in any tank condition.

So far I have had it on rocks that I can remove, so I would remove the bubbles and then take a spare toothbrush and scrub area and then rinse the rock.

Perfect
