Ok...so I have had my tank running for 10 months and things were going well until bubble algae reared it’s ugly head. It is on my rocks in multiple places. I need advice on how to get it under control. I have corals mounted on the rocks. HELP!!!! Thank you all.

I order last night will let you know, there’s a few threads here with other reefers given their opinion on the products

Bubble algae sucks. I have it in my tank too. I had an explosion of it when one of my tangs died I think he was eating it as it grew and with him gone its growing and growing. I have been manually removing it for now. Good luck let us know how Vibrant works.

I got rid of my tank back in the day due to bubble alage. Now I inspect very coral and remove and rinse if somes on it.

I have heard that Foxface and yellow tangs like to eat it also green emeral crabs but I had no luck in the past.

Sorry to hear

I ordered vibrant also. Will keep everyone up to date. I have read it takes 3-6 weeks so stay tuned!

I have a big bubble algae problem so I’ll follow along, I was going to try a foxface before I went to vibrant but I’m curious to see if it’ll work for you

I’m following this as well. We have been dealing with it for a couple months. Removed rocks and let them dry out, removed manually, removed with a siphon, and cut back feeding. It’s still growing heavily on the sand bed and few rocks.

I will let you know. Put in first dose yesterday. I am guessing it will take 3-4 weeks from what I have read.

I own vibrant and it worked wonders on green hair and diatom bloom but the most regular dosing closed up my corals so I’ve held off going back in with it. Let me know if you see anything like it. I might try it out again.

I will. So far my acans are still happy. My torches and Duncan’s are still nice and big. Zoos and mushrooms are open and my Scoly looks good! I see it started working on my other nuisance algae like GHA. It will take some time on my bubble algae I am sure but so far so good on day 3!

Here is what algae is starting to look like. It was very green before.

FYI the coral pictures were taken in the morning about an hour after the lights have been on. Hope this helps everyone!

I will be doing a second dose tonight. I plan on doing 2 doses a week 3-4 days apart. Corals still look good.

Will do another dose tonight. Other algae is slowly disappearing. No changes on the bubble algae yet.
