I notice in my tank a few spot of bubble algae, where they are coming from and why?
The most important is how to get rid of them??

Manual removal works fine if you get and stay on top of it now. If not, it will quickly become a huge issue.

I allowed it to get the better of me, and after months of battle, resorted to the use of Vibrant. It took about a month of dosing it at ~2x the recommended dosage until I started seeing results. It's been about a year now and I have not seen a sign of it since. It came in in the water or attached to a frag. Careful inspection is the key to avoiding it's return. I now spend way more time looking at new additions and the plugs they come in on. If there is any doubt, I carefully bathe the plug in hydrogen peroxide for 15 -20 seconds, rinse in a bowl of tank water and then introduce the frag into the tank.

Manual removal works for us. Gently remove the bubble with a tool of choice or a fingernail if you have a long ones. Just be gentle, they are quite durable but you can pop them in which case the algae will spread. I am not a fan of using crabs, they will simply puncture the bubble.

Emerald crabs are a 50/50 shot, I had better luck with a one spot foxface. He just "hoovered" a rock I had covered in them (he also doubled in size...lol)

I agree with manual removal...

Here’s a question I always read folks state don’t burst them or else they will spread, but if you get a crab or fish that will eat the bubble algae I don’t think they swallow them whole so they must burst!

Vibrant worked but it took almost 3 months at twice a week dosage.

Also, watch your no3. I had to dose to keep them up as the vibrant drive them down.

I took few rocks out for cleaning, I notice that inside the rock (places that is really hard to get into) there is a lot of very small bubbles.
I ended up taking this 2 rocks out of the tank, it was way easier then try (impossible) to rich the bubbles.
I am going to bleach the rocks and let them die ( probably 2 months outside) before I'll put them back.

My blue tank will kill this guy 4 sure, like he did to my other tangs, for some reason he is very aggressive lol (love this guy!)

I'll start dosing the Vibrant just in case there is places I didn't find out yet and will add crabs also.
From where do I buy Vibrant?

thanks for all your helps!

Lol I got a fox face for this purpose. For some reason he doesn’t touch the bubble algae

My naso and clown trigger absolutely love them. They’ve cleared out visible ones, but if I grab a colony of something and hold it upside down they rush to it and go to town on what they couldn’t previously reach.

looks like everyone have this problem with these bubbles
