I guess I did this wrong but What can I do different to have someone help me with my problems bubble algae being #1 I think

No magic bullet for bubble algae but keep your nutrients in check, manually remove as much as you can, emerald crabs can be effective but it’s hit and miss whether you will get ones that eat it or not.. as a last resort you may try one of the chemical cleaners but I wouldn’t recommend it unless your at the point of tearing down your tank because of the bubble algae.

I am going through a small bout of bubble algae. Basically what @RetroReefer said. I was able remove the rocks with bubble algae from the tank and carefully removed it manually. I also bought emerald crabs. It came back 2 wks later and I did the same thing: removed it manually. It's been about 2 wks now. So far I have not seen it coming back...I guess the key is to remove it sooner than wait for it to accumulate.

I was able to rig a small pump that I can suck it off but can I run it into a filter sock in the sump will the sock catch it?

If you have a lot, I recommend using vibrant to remove...while fixing core issues that got you there do you are not relying on it long term.

I was having an issue with bubble algae as well. In looking for a solution, I realized my other tank didn’t have the issue. In that tank I had a One Spot Foxface. So I looked for one and picked one up locally from one of the LFS here in Buffalo that I trust. It took a few weeks for him to settle in but now I see him going at it and I have a significant reduction in bubble algae. He will even pick on Nori along with my tangs and is best buddies with my purple tang. He leaves all my corals alone. And my bigger one in the other tank does as well, including my Acans and Zoas.
Good luck with things.

I had great success getting rid of bubble with Vibrant

I pulled the rocks gently pried it off. I they took a flat head screw driver and scraped the rock. I than rinsed seperated container with tank water.
