Vibrant (wouldn't use it on a newer tank, though). Also, search is your friend ;).

Thank you!
Don't thank me yet lol. Most people just throw their hands up after a couple months and go "it's not working, this is BS". Not always simple or quick, in fact usually not. I had to dose for about 8 months, increasing dosing frequency by a day once every four weeks of dosing (instructions start you out at 1ml per 10 gal once a week). Works if you know how to use it and stick with it though. Tons of reading that can be done on just the main Vibrant thread lol. Crabs never touched my bubble.. random yellow tang did though!

True. I’ve had mine for 2 years and haven’t had a problem so far but that doesn’t necessarily hold true for all.
When mine ran out of algae to eat he went straight for my duncan and toadstools (no matter HOW much I fed him, not that I blame nature though).

Oh no. I didn’t have bubble algea long after I got mine. I guess I got lucky because mine absolutely loves nori

Vibrant kills it but it will drop your nitrate and phosphate.

Emerald crabs are not reef safe in my opinion. I've had them pull and pick at rock flowers. Eat zoas. And kill an anemone crab. They may eat bubbles but they also eat everything else. Maybe in big tanks you don't notice the Carnage but they are still terrors!
