bubble algae?

I’ve been trying to ID this algae, it looks like green bubble algae but is more yellow/brown than emerald green and the bubbles are a little more flat (almost mushroom like) than spherical shape. Is this just a variation of green bubble algae? Anyone able to help ID this?

Are you sure it's algae and not some sort of sponge or jelly? It's definitely not the bubble algae I'm familiar with.

I’m pretty sure it is an algae, but I could be wrong. It doesn’t feel like a sponge and it deflates when you “pick it”.

Pic is dark but looks like it could be Padina algae.
