So, I QT all my frags and coral prior to going into display. I noticed on three separate frags, bubble algea from lfs. How do I iradicate this to prevent it from ever getting into my display? What is my best approach?

Take a needle and scrape it off without popping the bubble. Either that or you can toss an emerald crab in and see if it'll eat themSo, I QT all my frags and coral prior to going into display. If it's only on frag plug, I could pull frags out and scrap them of in different container just in case.Take a needle and scrape it off without popping the bubble. Either that or you can toss an emerald crab in and see if it'll eat them
If it is only on three frags take them out, scrape bubbles and place in a separate tank. There are several strains of bubble algae. The large thick skin ones are easily removed and very seldom come back. Some are eaten by emerald crabs, but some nothing will touch. Like someone said once one breaks and the spores spread it becomes difficult to control
Not sure what type of frags but you could scrap them off in your sink, pour some hydrogen peroxide on the base and insert in a QT tank? Most frags don't die if out of water for a few secondsMy only real option would be to take the frag outs. Place in container. Scrap of in that container. Then take out of container, rinse with tank water. Then place back into QT tank. Should work I guess?
