Three clear bubble / tubes have appeared on one rock that a coral is attached to. Is this bubble algae? Most images I have looked at of it seem to be green?

Looks more like diatoms. Siphon them out, along with the brown on the sand, and do a water change. Maybe increase flow

Bubble algae is hard green balls about the size of peas but can get larger. If that is a new(er) tank, I doubt it is bubble algae. It will not harm anything. Like anything else you don't want, it needs to be kept in check if it appears at some point. It isn't terribly hard to control but try not to burst the bubbles as they release spores.

Actually your pic with the shrimp looks like that might be one. Carefully wiggle it off and throw it away.

thanks - that's not my picture of the shrimp - mine is the coral and I don't think it is bubble algae - it is not on any other rock - just the one with the coral but they weren't there when I bought it so was hoping that they may be new polyps.
