Yes. You can try picking them off but dont pop them as they'll spread. It seems like some people have luck with emerald crabs but not 100% sure so let someone else weigh in on that. Search reeffux hd there is a thread on it running now

Yes that is bubble algae, you better get a grip on it now, as it can become problematic. You'll get alot of advice, it will be up to you to weed through them and pick what will work for you.

Here is what have worked for me. Use a small flat tool that you can use to gently pop off the coral without poping the actual bubble. If you can pull the piece from the tank and remove outside of the tank even better. Turn off all flow and using a tube large enough to suck up the pieces but not so large as to siphon the water out too quickly, use the tool to pop off while siphoning the bubbles out of the tank. Get a couple of emerald crabs, they all will not work out, some may go rogue while others are lazy. when you find a good one, you're gold, you'll never see another bubble again until they die. None of the common remedies for algae like lowering nutrients, lights out, vibrant, nopox has worked to eradicate existing bubble algae; it may slow down or ****** more growth but it will not eradicate what is already there.

I have an emerald in there now he must be one of the lazys or just hasn't found the bubbles yet and yes I can pull piece from tank should I pull it and get bubbles off and rinse In clean sw or rodi water

When i have been able to pull a piece with bubbles, I used a container with tank water. Using a pipette to get into the nooks and crannies to make sure you get any residual spores, then rinse with more tank water in another container.

Ok thanks will do

I just had a problem with bubble algae. I used 12ml for 120 gallons. It took 5 weeks to work for the bubble algae and I had ten half dollar size spots. I would remove them usin a method seen on Mr. Saltwater Tank. In this method you take an air line tubing start a siphon over effected area and remove bubble algae. The belief is that the air line tubing will catch the spores. I also put four emerald crabs. This alone had not worked before. Now I don’t have the issue with bubble algae but the vibrant killed off my chaeto and I have to half dollar size pieces of bryopsis. My parameters are 0 nitrate 0.02 phosphate alkalinity 8.3 calcium 400 magnesium 1600. I tried to raise magnesium because I heard that raising magnesium was a natural treatment to algae like bryopsis and bubble algae with no negative effects.

My son had an outbreak a few months ago in his biocube. He picked out the easy stuff and spot fed his fish every other day. We also increase emeralds from 2 to 4. Bubble algea is almost gone now.

Good luck
