I tried to take a picture, but it does really look like it does in real life.

It is attached to a rock. Round shiny balls - maybe twice the size of a BB.

I am lucky that this rock is easily removed from tank - should I remove the rock and get rid of these round things. Or let my crab take care of it?

remove it, remove it, remove it

the larger bubbles will rupture and release spores ... smaller ones are still developing & less likely to rupture.

+1

Yeah, if it's twice the size of a bb, it's too big for most emerald crabs anyhow. My biggest guy can barely fit a bb-sized piece into his mouth. Mine won't even bother detaching pieces that are clearly too big to ingest

I took the rock out and removed the bubbles - there was a small one and 2 alittle bigger. They came off fairly easy. Now I am worried there are others that I can't see, behind a rock that I can't see from the front of tank.

that’s where the crab can serve as insurance (hopefully) and take care of the places you can’t easily reach or might hesitate to forcibly re-arrange rock work.

sternly shake yr index finger at mr. emerald crab and tell him to do his job ... or else he’s gonna swim with da fis—wait, nevermind. :p
