I took apart my bubble blaster pump from my XP-1000 SSS...I found this very thin black piece.I think its an O-ring? Does anyone know if this goes before the impeller is placed or after?

Also, when i took it apart the front plastic part(the part that covers the impeller after you drop it down) I found some brown coloring on the metal parts where the screws are screwed i think its rust possibly but i dont know....im not able to just brush it off with a tooth brush. Hopefully it is not rust but im not too sure. Ill see if i can get pics by monday. Also, i dont have any problems with any of my corals or fish as they dont show any signs of stress or detrimental effects at all.

There were pumps that had a bad set of screws which are rusting. You can visit their forum on RC, contact Jeremy on there, and he'll send you a new set of screws. I think he just requires a pic and contact info, as I was reading the CoralVue forum today.
