Bubble coral dead??

This will be a problem for bubble. You may have to place a smaller head n the tank. You can try aiming the head upwards and see if it reduces flow
I have them pointing straight up and that seems to help a little bit but still causes an issue with not really having a low-to dead zone in my tank might try find smaller head tho!

I bet you have pretty high par. I'd dial it back as Vette guy suggested. At least for now.

Par meters are very expensive. I wish they were cheaper. Now that I've used them three times, I can't imagine not using one on a new tank. I'm lucky that my local club has them for free. I would keep looking for one to borrow. Maybe a used seneye would do the trick. They require a USB connection to a Windows computer though (ok, 2003, by all means, come back to haunt us).
Even with the current setting?? If so then I’m surprised my first few coral survived while I had the old settings on it!! But yes it’s crazy to think that I can’t find a LFS in the SD area that has one I can use :/ will keep searching tho!!

Thanks I’ll try it out! I did Find it weird that at most LFS stores they seem to have little to know whites than I see in at home tanks?

They are selling you the pop that you see when there is only blue. Nothing sells coral like neon fluorescent proteins!

Yes, the dying coral could cause the ammonia spike. What's the water volume?
That's interesting, I did not know this. I know they are live creatures but didn't think their physiological makeup would cause ammonia level to rise as they decay after death.

Yeah-- it's all just protein breakdown-- be it from a dead coral, a dead fish, or just feeding too much. In a cycled tank it should be gone soon.

100%, really don't want to buy a meter! But with all these new LED's I personally need to get my hands on one and get proper readings. Good Advice...
