what's going on with him

If you are talking about the tenticles, that is usually a feeding response

I mean, it looks like its trying to pull itself upward from its skeleton, or it is normal thing

They can expand a decent amount outwards when in feeding mode. The only other thing I could maybe think of is it is in too dark of a spot but I really think its just the feeding response. Mine gets huge at night

Thank you ill move it closer to lights

I am 99% sure it is just a feeding response as they tend ot extend greatly at night or when food is added so I don't believe moving it is the right course of action especially if you have had it for a while or if its already in moderate lighting,

That's just how they grow. Bubble coral or usually found on the underside of caves and ledges. They have a long "neck" for lack of a better word. That doesn't naturally mean it is reaching for light, It's usually upflow from a current.

Thank you so much, now im enlightened ☺️☺️

I think my statement was misunderstood. To clarify, I only said move it as a last resort but that I really don't think that it has to do anything with the location unless there was reason to think it was in a really dim spot and was brand new in the tank. Moving a coral should always be the last resort as corals do not naturally change positions in the wild.

Don’t move it! It’s fine! Bubbles will take many shapes depending on feeding and flow. But don’t put any coral near it. It can be deadly.
This 1000% might have killed Coral 10 in away. I built my entire aquascape on the end of the 180 specifically the isolate the bubble coral in a predictable flow pattern because they can't throw sweepers upstream.. it's killed more coral than my anenomes and tubes combined.

It’s an insane coral. In my tank a sweeper just has to touch one tiny part of another coral and it just withers away. I will frag corals to save them and it’s no use. My bubble reaches far. It stung my RBTA yesterday. Turned a tentacle black and then it just shrank into nothing. The anemone didn’t learn and stayed put.

I call it the terrorist of my tank.

The only reason it's still here is because the wife loves it.
