I have a question for you all. I had a couple items just arrive, literally just put them in the tank but I have never had a bubble coral before and this is my second order from Extremecorals.com where I had an item arrived that looked like it was dead or on it's way out, not to mention all the crap in the water and pests that come off during the coral drip, but does this bubble coral look like it suppose to look after being shipped?

I still have a clove colony from my initial order that I don't know if it will make it but please see attached photos. There's a lot of skeleton I'm seeing. This is a replacement coral after I ordered a blue hammer that arrived in the same condition. I don't want to turn this into a vendor discussion but for those that are thinking about ordering or have ordered and have not run into issues yet just keep in mind that they do not issue refunds, only store credits and you still have to pay for overnight shipping even if your order, like mine, was over the minimum. I don't think it's right that I spent hundreds to meet that requirement then have an item arrive in the condition it did, die and then I have to pay even more to replace it...

That looks heavily recessed/stressed. It could be shipping stress but generally doesn’t look that bad IMO.

Any updates? I’ve purchased from this vendor before but it’s been a while. I recall an order or two that had cloudy water or generally stressed. Other orders were fine

Yes sorry the corals look good. Please see attached pics. Although the elegance I got with the bubble is a lot smaller than the listing advertises and I think that's why they pull the listings after purchase so you can't compare. It's a shame because the coral I purchased initially was an all blue hammer and this bubble was in replacement of that...I would've preferred the other had made it instead since it was so beautiful.

I would think that is was 'blueish' under certain lighting, as opposed to a true blue.
It was a teal blue under white and cobalt blue under actinic...Pics are under low white light as my setup doesn't have actinic lighting yet.

Does it look like the picture at time of purchase? The descriptions are always over the top, but I also heard some comments about pics being touched up or colors looking less like the pictures displayed.

Honestly the bubble just looks like a plain bubble and I didn’t save the pic to compare since the ad said it was “super Blue” but it’s a white coral in natural lighting so I guess it’s suppose to be reflecting super blue under actinic lights. I like that they’re colonies instead of paying hundreds for a fraction but definitely will not base my decision on color for if it arrives dead or on it’s way out it really can’t be replaced unless they happen to have more than one.

Ok thanks for the response! I can see how folks are turned off the by comparison between the website and the actual colors.

The problem with Extreme corals isn't the shipping..they are good at that. Its their pictures and size descriptions which are usually extremely misleading and not to the buyer's advantage.
