My bubble coral is dying!!! I don't know what to do, everything tests normal, I just did a water change last week when I noticed all the bubbles weren't inflating. There are a ton of brittle starfish in it, could this be the problem? Everything else is doing fine, scully, acro, hammer etc. This is my favorite coral can anyone offer advice please?!?!?!

The starfish are cleaning up the dead tissue or food, doubtfully causing a problem. Same question above. What have you done to your tank? Anything?

Nothing! I've had it for almost a year, it's larger than the palm of my hand, or was. We moved the end of June and even with the move things went extremely well. Parameters are normal, my salinity went a little higher a few weeks ago (.028) but that was resolved quickly. I just called the local aquarium store and they suggested I dip it then put it in a different spot. I have more sensitive corals and they are doing great. I'm so sad

Any changes to flow or lighting at all? Any new additions that could be irritating it? Agree with the dip, but if it was happy where it's at I would leave it for the time being. Moving it just adds more variables to the mix. If you're absolutely sure nothing has changed you shouldn't need to move it.

I haven't added anything to the tank, no fish or corals. I have two shrimp in there but they've been there and I never see them near the bubble. Thanks for the advice, I am dipping and am going to do 30 minutes. I feel worse now because all the starfish are dying and a few copods flew out.

Not sure if that's too long I guess it depends on the dip but just follow bottle. I dip revive for 15 min max. Have you introduced any new corals?

I wish I had new corals!!! Lol I've gotten nothing since we have been at the new house. So weird. I use Reef Dip and it said 15-30 minutes. It's starting to reinflate after being back in the take. I'm hoping that helps.

Here is before the move and before the dip

Did you notice any brown jellyish like on top of it? If so, you are looking at an infection. Believe me, they can happen anytime for the not so obvious reason. I wish you best of luck with recovery.

+1, happened to a torch I used to have, rarely do they recover.

It did not recover. Nothing else was effected, still not sure what happened.
