Bubble coral love

Finally got my hands on a bubble coral. Always wanted one ever since I’ve been watching mile high reefers, and my lfs had one from a tank tare down. Anyone else love this under rated coral? My dragonet couldn’t resist a close up when I had my camera up

Very nice. I looove bubble coral. I had a pretty pinkish one but it was buried in a sandstorm while I was on vacation and never recovered.

The are great corals. I believe one of the challenges on success if mail order is the shipping. How the polyp recesses and the skeleton gets damaged due to rough, sudden, or handling of the package.

I actually just received one last month from pacific east aquaculture and love it. It is about 3" and was a whitish cream color that is now starting to turn a tan cream color. Really interesting how the lighting between systems changes the coral.

My LFS (@Pieces of the Ocean) has a few huge ones, and the bubbles themselves are huge too. I would definitely like to pick up a smaller frag some day.

Enjoy your new bubble! The first one above a regular pink is 24 yo, 2nd a pearl bubble is 25 yo! I have some medium and small daughter frags of the pearl bubble. Some hobbyist dislike them cause they pack a sting towards other corals. One of the hardiest of LPS in the hobby for sure!
