I have a bubble coral that has been very healthy. Two-Three days ago I noticed a brown spot on it. Today it has two areas. I transferred all of my fish and coral to a new tank on Tuesday, Everything else is fine The spot was on it before it was transferred. What could be wrong and how do I treat it. I really want to save it.

hi,can you post parameters?

I looked at it a few minutes ago and it seems to be doing ok. I have posted a new picture that I just took. I need to check the parameters. I need to get a new testing kit tomorrow. But I think the parameters are ok. I will see what I can test tonight.

I hope it makes it. I can still see the dark area where the injury is. Should I give it time?

yes ..i question the alk/cal..2 yrs see no coralline on glass, would leave be for now ,params asap :)

Sounds like could be BJD. I see the skeleton exposed in those areas. Wondering if something could have gotten on the coral such as dosing powders or stung by a nearby coral.

There is no coralline because I just transferred everything to my new tank on Tuesday. I got happy to fast. I went upstairs and just took another picture and it is deflating. It had the one bare spot before I transferred it. I will check tank conditions tomorrow ASAP .

I dont see BJD in the pics but something killed the tissue in those areas. The bottom left of the coral also looks odd, like it’s infected.

Ten minute ago it puffed up as if it was fine and then now is deflating. I posted a picture of what it was like 10 min ago.

Weird, this pic it looks fine. Can barely see the 2 dead spots.
Yes, it puffed up and now this picture. I am hoping that it is simply going to sleep.
