All,

I've had this mini bubble coral for (I think) a year now. He always looks very happy. I do everything I can to avoid touching or moving him otherwise he gets grouchy, stings other coral or chips his skeleton.

Last night, I noticed that when he retracts into his sepia, he's got some growth out onto near by rocks. I'm thinking its just normal growth but couldn't find anything on the web that looked similar so I figured I'd post it. Also attached a figure when he's mid 'inflated' from this morning. Sorry for the crappy iPhone photos.

Very cool. Looks to be a species other than the norm. No rules against encrusting for a Plerogyra.

That's sort of what I thought... Haven't seen a picture of an encrusting bubble coral, maybe because it's a mini bubble? I'll get a nice photo of it tonight when it's out and looking good!
