Bubble coral peeling off Skeleton

Hi,

I woke up this morning and seen that my bubble coral seems to be peeling off its skeleton. I am not sure what is happening. It has been in the same spot for 4 months, i have not changed anything.

any ideas? Do they just get up and move? Lol

Salinty: 35.0 using red sea refractometer
Alk: 8.3 (Hanna)
Ca: 499 pm (Hanna)
Mg: 1335 (Nyos)
Nitrate: 25ppm (Nyos)
Phosphate: 0.12ppm (hanna)
Tmp: 77.9 (Apex Probe)
Ph: 8.21 (Apex probe)

I did move him over a bit closer to the rocks after i noticed it so it got less flow on it. But looking at the front of it, it looks healthy to me. Just seems odd.

Possible causes:
High salinity (a false reading will indicate lower)
Too much water flow
Inadequate lighting
Tank fairly new yet
Flatworms or other pests

Well if it is peeling away he is not happy and maybe trying to bail out possibly. do you have any other pics

Tank fairly new yet - Tank is about 2 years old.

Too much flow for them is if their bubbles are wrinkling and indenting

Your parameters look good but are they stable? How often are you testing? Is it possible you had a parameter swing?

I would slide him away from the rocks personally to make sure bubbles don’t get damaged. A little more towards corner/front

I don’t test as much as I should, but all is in line with last time i tested a month ago, the only swing I may get is with Nitrate, within 10ppm or. Phosphate, my GFO needs to be changed.
