Bubble.jpg

Dear all. This marble bubble was fully inflated a month ago, but is slowly getting smaller and smaller. Any thoughts on how to bring it back to it's former glory?

Hi All.

To be more helpful, will need more information about water parameters, age of tank, lighting. But based on my personal experience, the issue is caused by (some combination of): (1) nitrates/phosphates too high or too low, (2) lighting, (3) flow or (4) placement. Was it fully inflated for a long time after you introduced it to the tank? Or did this downhill slide occur shortly after you introduced it?

For me personally, my bubble spring to life when I moved it lower in the tank with less flow and less light.

hi also watch for something picking at when expelling poop

They do best on tank bottom with good flow

I had a very similar problem...was perfectly fine down low in a corner... Had a Nitrate spike for a couple weeks till I figured it out... Threw a small GFO reactor in and back to its usual self. So nitrates were what cause it for me. Give it a lookers!
