I have a lovely white bubble, doing great most of the time, he once expelled brown stringy stuff I guess is normal as he looked fab next day. Yesterday however he was only semi inflated and every few minutes lumps of white chalky stuff would bobble to the surface, I picked one and it's particles clumped together. Today no more but he hasn't full extended yet. Is this normal

Pictures would be very helpful, especially taken under white light. A guess, and I want to emphasize it's a guess, is it's partially digested food. This is assuming it's either catching large pieces of food like mysis or is being directly fed.

Prob digested food from the mysis as I don't directly feed any corals. Some parts are extended and other parts not at all. Like a bald patch but looks healthy enough
